FarmTek Timer System General Overview
For Mounted Shooting, the System setup and operation is straight forward and easy to use. The basic system includes a Polaris Main Control Console, typically located in the announcers booth or location and two eyes placed across from each other forming a “light Beam Line” at the starting & finish point of the “Pattern layout” in the arena. When the Horse/Rider cross the light Beam, the Beam Receiver Eye sends a “start time” signal to the Polaris main console and when the horse/rider finish the run and cross the Beam, the Eye sends a stop signal. The time is accurate to one-thousandth second. The Polaris sends the rider run time and any penalties to a computer running a “Event Data Management Program”.
